Jason A Checque graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor's degree in History and a Master's degree in Business Adminstration (MBA).  He received his law degree from the Duquesne University School of Law (JD) where he was awarded the Kandy Reidbord Ehrenwerth Award  - "for outstanding ethics, devotion to the law, concern for the unprivileged and general commitment to social issues affecting society."

Mr. Checque is a member of the Pennsylvania and Erie County Bar Associations and admitted to the practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.  Prior to joining Shapira, Hutzelman, Berlin, Ely, Smith and Walsh, he worked as a law clerk to the Hon. Ernest J. DiSantis, Jr. of the Erie County Court of Common Pleas.
